So you’ve got your iPhone 4 and you know it has not one, but two cameras inside it.

“How I wish it could take pictures with both of them at once,” you cry.

Well, your plea is answered in the form of 2Side Cam, a $1 app for iPhone 4. In “2Side” mode, it takes two photos – first one with the outward-facing camera on the back of the phone, then a second later another with the user-facing camera.

Then it combines the two images in one, ready for sharing or saving. Now your portraits of others can be enhanced by the addition of your own beautiful face. Or more seriously, you can use it to create instant diptychs with two contrasting scenes opposite one another.

Here’s a couple of 2Side Cam photos I took while passing the recycling center this morning. I have to confess, I don’t feel terribly comfortable using it – you have to be the kind of person who likes taking a lot of self portraits, and I’m not really that kind of person.

Still, an interesting toy nonetheless.
