List of new emoji for 2017 includes flying saucer, T-Rex and bearded man

Dinosaurs are coming for your emoji.

The Unicode Consortium submitted its proposed shortlist of 51 emojis for acceptance in Unicode 10 today. Among the new faces are a T-Rex and sauropod that could come to keyboards in 2017.

Bearded men are finally represented in the new emoji, too, with a new character that sports tons of facial hair. The emoji list also includes a flying saucer, zombie, genie and other mystical beasts.

The entire list includes 51 new emoji. Some proposed characters didn’t make the cut, including leafy greens, face with lightbulb and face banging against wall.
