The iPad Pro has taken a ton of fire recently from Microsoft, but the company’s latest ad shifts targets to attack the MacBook.

The company busts out the old-school disses in the ad, which calls the MacBook “square” during an annoying song that brags about the Surface Pro 4’s detachable keyboard, pen and touchscreen. And it runs Windows!

Listen to Microsoft’s horrible jingle:

So ok…. microsoft can make a computer that can do a lot of stuff that is pretty useless as a hat for your cat look nice, because they never talked about specs, or efficiency, or how their touch screens have almost the same response as a palm cellphone, a trackpad that can barely register multitouch, or the use of materials that will fail after 3 years… but hey they add a catchy song.

I think Microsoft is doing a lot right with their surface lineup, but they really seem to shit themselves of Apple if they have to compare two not comparable devices with a horrible jingle…

easy choice :) I use laptop macbook pro as heart of my music studio. Without blue screen, without viruses,…. . Before that I worked on CORE I7 with win7 and I say never ever WINDOWS based computer for music producers. My opinion…

  6. Good luck M$. You better focus on your own lineup and poor results.
And sack the guy who came up with this ‘smart’ campaign.

Microsoft is so desperate to make sales, you can see that from the latest 2 ads .. iPad Pro and now the MacBook.
Touch screens is a terrible idea and pure gimmick idea for MacBooks or any vertical screens.

As Steve said “We’ve done tons of user testing on this, and it turns out it doesn’t work. Touch surfaces don’t want to be vertical.
It gives great demo but after a short period of time, you start to fatigue and after an extended period of time, your arm wants to fall off. it doesn’t work, it’s ergonomically terrible.”

Roaster – Refrigerator concept has proven it’s not the best experience.
If you want a touch screen + Pencil buy iPad Pro. If you want a computer buy MacBook “sorry Tim”.

Not to mention, Leaked Golden for of Surface Pro and Windows 10, A key piece of code that allows some of its devices to be completely compromised. LOL

Last but not least … it runs “WINDOWS” sigh !

It is sad though that Microsoft can put a full i7 powered system in a small, light, well built enclosure and can run full powered apps AND have stylus support while apple goes with the underpowered iOS. As much as I like my iPad Pro, I would LOVE if it actually ran the full powered apps like Photoshop and the other CC programs. Apple hasn’t significantly updated the Macbooks in a LONG time and they really should have made the last revision more like the iPad Pro but have it run full MacOS.
