I didn’t have high hopes for Suicide Squad, the upcoming action movie that pits a team of supervillains together on a top secret government mission, but now that the first trailer for David Ayer’s action-packed film has been teased to fans, I’m starting to become a believer.

Will Smith, Cara Delevingne, and Viola Davis all make an appearance in the first trailer that debuted at International Comic Con 2015 over the weekend, but Jared Leto manages to steal the show as the Joker with a menacing appearance in the last few seconds.

Not excited for the new joker. Made him look like a crack head and not a master mind criminal.

      > Mastermind criminal

Two different ways this character has been portrayed.

Dont mind either one I just think he looks like a crackhead. What is with the gold teeth? HEHEHE

These are most likely metal crowns, probably because somebody (Bats) punched his face in one too many times. He reminds me of the rendition seen in the Batman: RIP comics. Lean but muscular, absolutely nuts. This protrayal also isn’t as grounded in reality as Nolans joker was.

Agreed. I have no problem films going outside of canon but rather than looking like a former cunning but calculated criminal he looks like a backup dancer that lost his mind.

But I don’t blame Leto. Obviously he’s a great actor but I don’t think the writers and producers know what they’re doing with one of the most storied villains of our time.

I have to believe that Mark Hammil isn’t at all pleased with the direction their taking with the Joker.

I’m not quite a believer. The cast just feels too big and the characters too obscure to be truly effective. I also couldn’t help but notice how much trailer time Will Smith has but I’m guessing that the only reason he agreed to this was to ensure that he’s the center of the story. A proverbial Hugh Jackman who’s basically at the center of every X-Men movie aside from First Class (which he cameo’d in).

That’s not necessarily a bad thing but with a cast of 9 villains, the Joker and a Batman cameo I don’t think there’s gonna be enough time to give each character enough backstory and relevance.

Something about a woman in a cage bonded, hanging upside down and her legs spread. Damn sexy! LOL (Not a perv I swear!)
