Beats 1 already boasts a superstar cast of DJ’s but they’re about to get a new pair of hosts in the form of rap group, Run the Jewels.
Killer Mike and El-P are set to take over Beats 1 every Friday at 6PM PT for their very own show called “WRTJ.” The show will follow the duo as they complete the Run the Jewel world tour and talk about music, as well as the merits of unicorns and dragons.
Check out the teaser El-P published today:

You can tune into the first WRTJ show tonight through Apple Music on iOS or from the new Radio tab in iTunes 12.2.
Apple also plans to have other artists hosts their own shows as well. Drake, Elton John, Pharrell, Dr. Dre, and St. Vincent are also getting their own shows in an effort to lure in more listeners (and subscribers) to the new streaming service that launched earlier this week to rave reviews.

Doesn’t Apple realize it has millions of fans who don’t want to listen to Hip-Hop & Rap? And yet, the vast amount of music I’ve heard on Beats 1 is just that.
I don’t have anything against those who like HH & Rap. Hell, even I like it … i.e., about 5% of it. But meanwhile why not offer other genre of music on Beats 1?
Meanwhile I won’t be listening to Beats 1.
Very exciting new for me, a “Hip Hop” fan!
