Which apps take up the most space on your wrist?

My Apple Watch says I’ve used 1 GB of storage space, with 5.2 GB left over and available.

As those two numbers reverse, I’ll start looking at which apps are taking up the most storage on my wrist, then eliminating the ones that take up too much space.

Here’s an easy way to figure out which storage-hogging apps need to go.

Grab your iPhone and launch the Apple Watch app there. Tap on General, then swipe down to Usage.

Tap on Usage and you’ll get a list of all the apps on your Apple Watch, as well as the amount of storage space you’ve used and what’s left over and available to you.

Not too bad...so far.

My music app, for example, takes up 507 MB, because I’ve downloaded several songs to listen to when I go running without my iPhone. That’s a clear sign of what I can delete from my Apple Watch when the remaining storage space grows slim.

The apps in Usage are listed in order of largest to smallest, so you can peruse the list and take off any apps you don’t want hogging your Apple Watch space via the iPhone app.

Happy storage-hog hunting!
