Ahead of the Apple Watch’s release tomorrow, Apple has started rolling out a special section of the App Store for the device.
By viewing the App Store window of the dedicated Apple Watch app for iPhone, users will be able to browse the thousands of apps that are already available on the wrist. Big names like Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo, ESPN and Instagram have Watch apps in the store along with countless indie titles.
Apple is curating Watch apps into categories like it does for normal iOS apps in the store, including a helpful “Get Started” list.
Installing Watch apps will be a relatively painless process, as any installed iPhone app with a WatchKit extension will automatically make itself available on the Watch. Users will be able to modify which Watch apps they want displayed on their wrist from within the Apple Watch iPhone app.

Amazing how densely populated the Watch store already is. Looks just as robust as the normal App Store, granted a lot of what’s available are extensions of current apps yet still a testament to the eagerness and dedication of the development community to put this much effort into Apple’s latest endeavor.
Certainly don’t see this type of activity on Android Wear.
Counting the days until my Watch arrives with the hopes that it’ll get shipped before mid-May.
That’s very true. This amount of developer devotion, and support is insane! Its what every PC technology company aims for. Any other platform would kill for this type of support. I saw the DJay App, and many other insanely useful Apps for the Apple Watch, and this watch instantly became a must have.
Cant wait to get mine in the mail.
