Derek Zoolander — the male model played by Ben Stiller who first appeared as a gag character in 1996’s VH1 Fashion Awards, and who later went on to star in 2001’s cult classic film — made a surprise appearance yesterday on a catwalk at Paris Fashion Week, where he stole some dude’s iPhone, then flashed Blue Steel all over Vine.

Zoolander was at Paris Fashion Week as a way of announcing Zoolander 2. He wasn’t alone. Also walking the catwalk was Owen Wilson in the guise of his male model counterpart, Hansel McDonald. Hansel seemed to be able to refrain from stealing iPhones, though.

The guy Zoolander stole the iPhone from was Jerome Jarre, a popular Vine user with over 8.2 million followers (and, as you can see from his other videos, a confirmed iPhone user). He’s a 24-year-old French entrepreneur who quit his business to focus on making money on Vine, which, in its own way, makes him just as much of a parody as Derek Zoolander.

Obviously, Zoolander, or his assistant, ended up returning Jarre’s iPhone after the show.

Zoolander 2 will release on February 12th, 2016.
