It’s the holiday season, and every buck counts. So if you’re in the market for an iPhone to put under the tree, here’s a great reason to head over to Walmart: they’re slashing prices on the iPhone this weekend.

According to a report by Bloomberg, the big box retailer is offering as much as $50 off the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, and the iPhone 5s. And what makes these deals especially good is that Walmart’s prices are already lower than Apple’s MSRP.

For example, a 16GB iPhone 6 in an Apple Store will cost you $199 on a two-year contract. This weekend, though, you can get one for just $129. Similarly, the 16GB iPhone 6 Plus starts at $229, down from its $299 MSRP. And even if you just want an iPhone 5s, you can grab one for just $49, $50 off it’s Apple price.

There’s a catch, though. These discounts are only for retail stores, and won’t work online, so a lot has to do with whether or not your local Walmart has the iPhone model you want in stock. If it does, though, consider getting it: you’re unlikely to find a better deal on a new iPhone 6 before the holidays.

Of course you can buy your iPhone 6 at Walmart but then Walmart will turn around and forbid you from using one of its key features, ApplePay (for now at least, until Walmart caves in when THEIR payment “solution” CurrentC falls on its face.)

Eventually, Walmart will have to relent on Apple Pay by early next year. If Apple Pay catches traction with all the banks, etc., it would only make sense for Walmart to give in.

Who wrote this headline? A “sick” sale? Really? Are you a 13 year old girl?
