The internet offers users a wealth of applications. From social media, to shopping, to banking, you can do pretty much anything online. With every website you join, however, you need to have a login name and password and, with passwords becoming necessarily complex, it can be difficult to remember all of your login information. Now, you can use Dashlane Premium to take care of your passwords for you.

Dashlane Premium remembers your password data and more so that you don’t have to. Three years of service is offered for a limited time only at half price, $49.99, at Cult of Mac Deals.

Dashlane Premium remembers more than just your passwords. Any form data you repeatedly enter, such as your name, address, and phone number, are stored to streamline your internet experience. Even your payment information can be stored so you don’t have to continually hunt for your physical credit cards and type in long strings of numbers time and again.

Security is important to you, and it is to the makers of Dashlane Premium as well. That is why Dashlane features military-grade AES-256 encryption and a Security Dashboard that tells you how strong your passwords are. If your passwords aren’t up to snuff, the software will even help you to create ones that are. Best of all, Dashlane does not store your master password on it’s servers so the only person who can decrypt your data is you.

Dashlane Premium monitors the websites you frequent. If a security breach occurs on any of those sites, Dashlane will send you a direct notification to your device so you can take immediate action.

Note that this offer applies to new accounts only. For full details about this offer, including its terms and conditions, please click here.

Take the guesswork out of your password and form data organization. Get 3 years of Dashlane Premium for only $49.99 at Cult of Mac Deals today.

I ditched 1Password (because of their high price) and tried Dashlane. I don’t think they are there yet… Functionally it was so, so. Sometimes entering passwords in the wrong sites. Confusing to set up for my family. It was excellent in the GUI, but not as practical as 1Password. No area for my Notes to import from 1Password. Tech support delayed on answering me, lacked customer satisfaction. (I work in customer satisfaction in a tech company) Another thing is that syncing my stuff – over the cloud, – Maybe, outside of USA, – I am not just ready for that. I want to know where my data is. I went back to 1Password. I have been waiting for Dashlane to ramp up… Maybe later.

I tried it on Yosemite 10.10 and it does not seem to work

Interesting to know… Also, I do not see them taking advantage of the fingerprint sensor as 1P has. I want to try Dashlane again. I just do not find solidity with them yet.

ID federations (single-sign-on services and password managers) create a single
point of failure, not unlike putting all the eggs in a basket. It remembers all my passwords when un-hacked and loses all my passwords to criminals when hacked. It should be operated in a decentralized formation or should be considered mainly for low-security accounts, not for high-security business Needless to say, the strength of
    the master-password is crucially important.

At the root of the password problem is the cognitive phenomena called “interference of
memory”, by which we cannot firmly remember more than 5 text passwords on average. What worries us is not the password, but the textual password. The textual memory is only a small part of what we remember. We could think of making use of the larger
part of our memory that is less subject to interference of memory. More attention could be paid to the efforts of expanding the password system to include images, particularly KNOWN images, as well as conventional texts.
