The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are the thinnest iPhones Apple’s ever made, but all that design perfection is slightly tainted by the protruding camera that makes it annoying to use the smartphone on a flat surface.
Slapping on a case fixes the problem, but for those wanting to revel in the beauty of a nude iPhone 6, the PeripateticPandas have come up with an ingenious – though somewhat impractical – solution: Introduce your shiny new 6 to a grinding machine.
Checkout the horrific how-to video below:
Last time we checked, your AppleCare+ policy doesn’t cover “accidentally” grinding your iPhone 6 lens into oblivion. So, obviously, don’t do this at home.

Don’t do it!! 8-O
I wanna see what happens when he tries taking a picture with it now.
me toooo
me 3 ! wtf … take a fahkin pic khed!
I so wanted to see whether (how well) the camera worked after its operation.
If the inability to lie flat bothers you I suggest adding clear mounting squares to the right side of the back across from the lens. Use some like these from Amazon http://goo.gl/PzMwlg You may have to use some clear tape over the exposed sticky part.
It’s called put a case on it and call it a day.
Exactly, I don’t see the big whoop.
Just say no to cases.
Psycho!
You could also put little rubber feet in the corners to do the same thing and not fubar your phone/camera.
put a slim apple case on it; problem solved.
3.15 mins of video, 10 secs of it useful and it doesn’t even show whether the camera works afterwards or not! Fail.
First world problem. O.o
Funny how so many Android and Windows phones have camera that are not flush with the back for a long time, yet Apple makes one and the world is on the brink of ending.
Between the camera sticking out a little to much, or the phone won’t fit in my pants pocket, this country has become a place of bitch, pissers and moaners.
First world problems people.
Uh, because it was a horrible design when other people did it. Apple did not have to make history repeat itself, especially when they are all about design.
Who wants a phone that has its first contact point when you set it down to be the lens of the camera. Its a bloody disaster.
I agree with anyone saying a case solves the issue, but it is still an issue.
exaggerated reaction for a slight protruding camera, haha… of-course it will damage the protective screen for lens,, just put a case and its all good.. lol
Unless you are setting your phone down on diamonds, the sapphire lens shouldn’t get scratched. But time will tell.
Anybody know where this was filmed?
