“A his and hers”…
No, not a his and hers. One of the best things about the reveal was the fact that they didn’t pigeon hole either size against either gender.
It’s brilliant. Bravo, Apple.
I can’t hear a word he’s saying, either embedded or direct in Youtube.
I believe the Watch does NOT have GPS in it!!!! right???
from apple: GPS. Apple Watch uses the GPS and Wi‑Fi in your iPhone to help measure the distance you travel during activities that can’t be measured in steps, such as cycling.
GPS in the watch would hit the battery significantly, reducing it from… err… no idea down to no idea minus something. (Tough to make judgement calls about battery life, but GPS inside *would* hurt.)
I’llgive apple the benefit of doubt since its their first entry into wearables but iI’m really disappointed that this has to be tethered to the iPhone! For added functionality Ican see it but this is a watch first and foremost and should be able to stand alone to a high degree. Also iI was hoping for some beats headphones with some added intigration and connectivity. Maybe next year! And don’t get it twisted it was still a solid lineup and apple knows how to roll out technology so that their not giving you everything including the kitchen sink like Samsung but at the cost of customers feeling like they could of done more. My cousin explained it like this: if you have this much technology ———- you only sell them this much — at a time
It does stand alone as a watch. The only way other smart watches can do anything different is by having their own sim. Without that they *all* have to be tethered to do connected, smart-style stuff. But with its own sim it would be a second phone, second number, second contract… hoo boy, too much of a PITA for me. :)
I’m wondering if an app developer is going to release a lie detecter app using the heart rate sensor. That’ll be funny to use on a date or with your spouse without them knowing. :-)
Just don’t base any decisions on its results! Even with wired-up sensors the best lie detectors rely primarily on ignorance and fear. :-/
Are you sure it has GPS?
