Since Apple announced its Q3 2014 earnings last month everyone seems focused on less-than-stellar iPad sales, but along with the impending launch of the iPhone 6, Apple’s got a lot to celebrate as the company told CNBC that the App Store had record-setting revenue numbers in July.
Apple says it saw a record number of customers making transaction on the App Store in July, prompting Tim Cook to launch a celebratory tweet to developers:
Thanks to our amazing developer community! Apple says July was record-setting month for app store revenue https://t.co/BI8wFTTG5V

In a statement to CNBC, Tim Cook said “I couldn’t be happier. This is the best execution of any quarter since I’ve been at Apple,” but not everyone is impressed, including our favorite Apple analysts.
Stating July was a record month for the App Store is not surprising since practically every month since it opened was a record month.

Quality and quantity at one place! Appstore
It doesn’t matter how well Apple does, the critics, pundits and anal-ysts will immediately home in on the one thing that Apple isn’t doing that well and forget about everything else that Apple is doing well in. It’s like playing “find the odd item in the picture” game. They’re so busy looking for the odd item that the rest of the picture goes unnoticed. There’s this expectation that every company should do well in all of its divisions all the time and if it doesn’t go that way, the company is doomed. It’s a rather stupid expectation.
