Note: “This is not a MFi Apple-certified product”. I have had three or three non-Apple Lightning cables fail within a month or so. While I really like the cable construction I would caution against purchase. I just bought a couple of lightning cables from Apple, for me working is important.

This looked very tempting. Until I read Dan’s comment and then re-read the description more carefully.

It is a CHARGING cable. Not a sync cable. Dan points out that it is not “MFi Apple-certified”. That is likely because it won’t work for any data transfer, only charging and even that may be iffy.

If you read the description carefully it never says that the cable can be used for data transfer or sync. It does mention “High speed USB 2.0 technology” which is misleading. Sure, it may have a USB 2.0 plug on one end. But it likely doesn’t have an Apple USB-Lightening chip.

I will pass on this “too good to be true” deal.

    There
are a lot of hazards concerning wall chargers. Fire might spark from
over-current, over-voltage, or short circuits due to over charging or leaving
the charger in the outlet for too long. Worry no more! CHOETECH Amazon is one of the dilemmas that this
product has eliminated. It is programmed to detect if the gadget’s battery is
full then automatically shuts down for your protection and safety. Visit CHOETECH

These cables work for data and power, in my experience (bought one from here), but quality is terrible. The connections inside the lightning connector part are failing, so just bumping the cable can cause it to stop charging. DO NOT BUY.
