Do you love playing Minecraft on your iPhone or iPad? So do we, but you’ve got to admit, there’s some compromises in playing Minecraft: Pocket Edition compared to the Mac, not least of which the size of the worlds. On the Mac, Minecraft worlds are infinite, but on iOS, they are extremely limited. But according to a new blog post, that’s about to change soon.

According to a new post on Minecraft developer Mojang’s official blog, the worls in Minecraft: Pocket Edition are about to get a lot bigger. Here’s what Mojang’s Danial Kaplan had to say:

We’re working on restructuring a lot of code to allow significantly bigger worlds in future updates. We’re also updating the AI, inventory, and a bunch of other things. Unfortunately we don’t have a release date yet, but so far, everything is going to plan.

Sadly, there’s no time table on this, but Minecraft: Pocket Edition is the best way to play Minecraft on the go. Here’s hoping they don’t keep us waiting too long.
