The Snap Strap does away with the annoying problem of your earbud cables ending up in your mouth when you’re just trying to enjoy a delicious hamburger and listen to some music at the same time. It’s a clever little strap that clips to the left and right cables of your ’buds and then sits across the back of your neck, keeping the cables away from your gnashing maw.
Of course the real purpose of the Snap Strap has nothing to do with antisocial eating at all, but plain old cable management. And not only does it make it easy to stop your cords from getting in the way and snagging on your collar/scarf, it also means you can unplug your earbuds and let them dangle on your shoulders. I like this as I listen to podcasts or music when I’m at the market, but I take my earbuds out when I’m actually talking to the shopkeeper. Because I’m not a self-important sociopath (I’m looking at you, every teenager in the world).
The design is dead simple, which in turn means that the price is low ($24, although you can get one for as little as $7 on the Indiegogo campaign page). The strap has a slot across each end through which you thread the cable, and then an open-edged cylindrical ferrule slips over the groove to secure the whole thing. This makes it adjustable but secure. The Snap Strap comes in two designs, one for flat cables, and one for round.
Available to order now, for a probable March delivery.
