Rockstar Games announced this morning that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be making its way to iOS device next month after originally being released for the PS2 back in 2004.
Not only is Rockstar porting the game to iOS, but the company says it’s also adding support for Made for iOS controllers on iOS 7, along with the addition of brand new touch controls and contextual control options that only display as you need them.
The world of San Andreas – which encompasses Los Santos, San Fierro, Las Venturas and more – has been upgraded for the mobile release with remastered graphics. Dynamic and detailed shadows, greater draw distance, an enriched color palette and enhanced character models have all been added to make it the best looking version of San Andreas we’ve seen on a console, let a long a smartphone.
The game is scheduled to launch next week on iOS, Android, Amazon Kindle, and even Windows Mobile devices. More details on pricing will be announced in a few weeks.
