Evidence is mounting that Apple plans on releasing the next iPhone on September 20th. The latest proof? T-Mobile, the latest official American iPhone carrier, has told all of their employees to not even bother asking for any days off between Friday, September 20th and Sunday, September 22nd.

Blackout days are pretty common around a new iPhone launch, regardless of the carrier. Many of our earliest corroborations of new iPhone launch dates come when a carrier (or Apple themselves!) tell employees when not to plan on being able to take time off.

The fact that T-Mobile is blocking off three days in late September, then, is fairly telling… especially when those days perfectly align with the previously rumored launch window for the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Of course, the iPhone 5S launch date wasn’t particularly difficult to get right. We predicted it correctly way back at the beginning of July, based upon nothing more than back-of-the-envelope math. Still, if T-Mobile is telling employees to mark their calendars, maybe you should too.
