Apple Kicks Off New Back To School Promotion For Macs, iPad, iPhone

Apple-Back-to-School

Apple has today kicked off its annual Back to School promotion through the Apple online store. As it did in 2012, the Cupertino company is offering a $100 App Store gift card with every new Mac, or a $50 card with a new iPad.

This year’s promotion also includes the iPhone, which now comes with a $50 gift card, too.

The offer isn’t exclusive to the Apple online store; you can also take advantage of it through Apple retail stores, and authorized campus stores. To qualify, you must be a college student, a student accepted to a college, a parent buying for a college student, or a faculty or staff member.

The promotion can also be used in conjunction with education pricing if you’re buying a new Mac, which could save you up to $200 on a new machine. iPads and iPhones aren’t eligible for education pricing, however.

The Back to School promotion runs right throughout the summer, from July 2 to September 6, giving you plenty of time to take advantage of the offer before it’s time to head back to campus.

That’s great. Now they need to release a Haswell Retina 15 and I’m in.

Nuts to app store gift cards, what happened to free iPods? At least that you could sell them for the same price to just get the cash back. App store gift cards are hot trash.

I got a $100 iTunes giftcard last year and sold it for $97 on ebay.
