AgileBits, creators of the popular 1Password tool for Mac and iOS, have today announced that 1Password 4 for Mac has entered beta. The release comes six months after 1Password 4 came to iOS, and you can get your hands on the early release by joining the AgileBits Beta Family.

“Like his iOS brother, 1Password 4 for Mac has a ton of new features packed in a gorgeous new design,” wrote AgileBits in an email sent to 1Password users today. The company did not disclose what those new features might be, but it did promise “some sneak peeks” in the next newsletter.

If you can’t wait until then, you can join the AgileBits Beta Family, which will also get you an invitation to install the 1Password 4 for Mac beta “in the near future.” Just click the source link below, enter your email address, and hit subscribe.

1Password 4 for iOS brought a whole host of new features when it launched last December, including a new look, favorites, a web mode, form filling, vault mode, iCloud sync, global search, the ability to view attachments, and lots, lots more. We’re expecting some of these things — if not all of them — to be in the next OS X release.
