Georgia Woman Found iPad Impaled In Front Bumper And It Still Works

Be careful where you leave your iPad. It might end up impaling some poor lady’s bumper.

That’s what happened to one unlucky iPad owner who forget they placed their iPad on top of their car. After getting onto the road, the iPad eventually fell off the roof of the car, slammed into a Georgia woman’s front bumper, and then stayed there for the rest of day.

The woman driving the car said she noticed something fly at her car when another vehicle pulled out infront of her, but she never felt or heard the iPad hit her. She didn’t even know it was there until later in the day when her dad saw the huge iPad sticking straight out of her bumper.

Retrieving the iPad from the clutches of the bumper required a hammer and some muscle power, but the craziest part of the story is that the iPad still works.

The woman pulled up an app that contained the owners contact information and gave it back to its owner. Hopefully he had AppleCare.

Hopefully he doesn’t admit that it was hit with a hammer. That’s intentional damage and voids the AppleCare. You can’t even buy a replacement for intentional damage.

They didn’t hit the iPad with the hammer (that would be stupid) — they most likely used the hammer to pry open the bumper to release the iPad. To assume the lady hit the iPad with a hammer to release it … my mind boggles. Anyone who would do that has absolutely no understanding of delicate electronic devices. That the iPad is still working is testimony to Apple’s build quality and several amounts of luck and coincidence during its fall from the roof of the other car.
