Apple Releases iOS 6.0.2 For iPhone 5 And iPad Mini To Fix WiFi Bug

Apple Releases iOS 6.0.2 For iPhone 5 And iPad Mini To Fix WiFi Bug We’ve been waiting for Apple to release iOS 6.1 for a few weeks now, but before they bring out the good stuff, Apple is pushing out a small iOS update for iPhone 5s and the iPad mini.

iOS 6.0.2 is available for download now through iTunes or via over the air updates, but it looks like it’s only for the iPad Mini and iPhone 5. All other iOS devices will have to wait for an update.  According to Apple the update fixes a bug that could impact WiFi. We’ll let you know if there are any major changes inside once we get it on our devices.

“Unable to Check for Update” received when trying to update over the air on iPhone 5.

Maybe this will fix a problem i’ve had with my Wireless Fidelity… I have iPhone 5, newest version of AirPort Extreme and an AP Express repeating the signal…
…Since the latest update to 6.0.1, the signal has been abysmal on only the i5… the Mac Pro, MacBook Pro and iPad have all been fine… couldn’t figure out what was going on. It seemed like the i5 was only connecting to the AP Express which is downstairs. I would have to completely restart the phone to fix the signal.

Excited to see if this fixes everything when I get home

I wish we had more info. Having all sorts of wifi disconnection issues with my iPad 4. It would be cool to know if these updates address it, even though its not available for my device yet.

About once per week, my iPad 4 WiFi+LTE (iOS 6.0.1) will suddenly display a very weak WiFi signal (down to just the dot). Power cycling the device clears the error, but it’s quite annoying.

Why do people call the iPhone 5 the 5s?

Why do people call the iPhone 5 the 5s?

He’s not calling it the 5s. He’s using it in the plural: one iPhone 5, many iPhone 5s.

And how do you call the iPhone 4S ? iPhone 4Ss ?

It would be great if they fixed the annoying ‘feature’ where the personal hotspot stops broadcasting wifi if you don’t use it for a couple of minutes, it drives me mad having to keep restarting the feature to reconnect my iPad.
