Apple is renowned for its obsession with detail and making even the slightest things — such as internal components — just as beautiful as the devices that house them. That’s why, during his recent WWDC keynote, Tim Cook said Apple’s new MacBook Pro was more beautiful on the inside than rival machines are on the outside.

This attention to detail is evident in iOS 6, where the slider reflections change as you tilt your device.

As noted by Gizmodo reader Zach, the metallic sliders in iOS 6 are incredible clever. As you tilt your device, the reflection on them changes. Even the slightest of movements is detected.

You can just about see it in this video, though it is a little too dark to see clearly. Just look closely at the round slider.

It’s pretty incredible when you think about it. I mean, I don’t mean to get so excited over something so small, but just think about the level of effort Apple put into a feature so small that the majority of us would never ever have noticed.

Could you see its competitors spending time on little things like this?
