Apple has seeded an update to its third OS X Mountain Lion developer preview alongside Xcode 4.4. Preview 4. Registered developers can install the new software now in Software Update and the Mac Dev Center.
The update doesn’t seem to pack any major new features, but it looks like Apple is gearing up for the public release of Mountain Lion this summer.

If you already have Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3 installed, choose Software Update from the Apple menu to download the update from the Mac App Store. Download Xcode 4.4 Developer Preview 4 from the Mac Dev Center to continue building apps for Mountain Lion Developer Preview 3 Update.

9to5Mac notes that a “Do Not Disturb” option has been added for Notification Center in Mountain Lion, making it easy to disable alerts and banners during certain hours on your Mac.
Apple hasn’t set a specific release date for Mountain Lion, but expect it to drop in the coming months.
