Only half an hour now until the iPad 3 is unveiled, but a last minute leak says it’s definitely shipping with LTE. This is the iPad now showing up in Apple’s own inventory system:
MD369LL/A – IPAD WI-FI 4G 16GBLACK – USA.
There you go. 4G. LTE. Who else is getting one?

4G = Fourth Generation?
Considering LTE has been settled on as the “true” 4G for awhile now, it’s probably what it means by 4G. It can’t refer to the generation of iPad because this is only the third generation.
there’s only been two generations of iPads so far so…this next one would have to be the 3rd…
OK now I’ve made myself look like a right numpty. My massive bad guys. Sorry!
How can an iPad THREE (iPad 3) = “Fourth Generation”?! – lol
Which 4G frequencies? I hope 850 en 2600 MHz will be supported so it will work in Europe.
You’re probably right, but nothing is confirmed until we hear it from Apple.
For the same reason the second iPhone was called iPhone 3G. It’s about the wireless technology generation, not the device.
LTE is widely regarded as 4th generation wireless data technology. iPad 1 and 2 are both 3G.
It’s not an Apple thing, the whole industry does this.
Hear that? that’s the sound of naysayers around the globe getting slapped across the face
