Every once and a while, some big box retail pricer huffs a little too much of Apple’s pixie dust and goes mad enough to start selling iTunes gift cards for less than their actual value. Ladies and gentlemen, now is just such a time of madness, as Best Buy is now selling iTunes Gift Cards for 20% off (digital delivery only). That means every $25 of iTunes credit — useable on songs, movies, Mac software, iOS apps, iBooks and in-app purchases — can be had for just $20.

That’s a pretty swank deal if you make most of your purchases in Apple’s digital ecosystem, which is most of us. Get buying here, but be fast about it: you only have until 7PM!

Thanks, Dave!

This is the second time I tried this and it’s the second time Best Buy screwed up.  I place the order, get a confirmation email then never get the redemption code.  I’ve been on the phone for an hour today so far and spend 4 hours on the line last month.  This sucks. It may be a good deal but I don’t think I’ll try a third time. JMO

Same thing happened today again. After an hour and a half, 4 representatives, two managers – still no code.  Like the last month, “we’ll re-send your code.  It’ll take 24-72 hours for you to receive it.”  And like last  time it won’t arrive.  Even after giving a second email address I never got the code.  Last time I got a refund.  This time they’re saying they can’t do that.  I told them you got my money, I want a product.  Blah, blah, blah from them.  Not a happy BB customer today.

     Shame on you.

    (They fooled you twice.)

  5. BMWTwisty says:

    Indeed!  But not thrice!

There appears to be a bug in the system specifically for your email and Best Buy. Might want to check your spam filters or folders. I know the confirmation is making it through, but perhaps there is something in the code email that is triggering a filter.

FWIW, which is probably nothing at all, I ordered mine, got a
confirmation email about a minute later, and the code email about 7 minutes after
    that.

If all else fails, take your LT for a nice long road trip.

Thanks for posting this!  I picked up the $100 for $80, and combined with a BB gift card I had, only ended up spending $13.   Also did my shopping through the Delta Shopping portal to get a few miles points.

BTW I received my code by emails in minutes of the purchase, so the experience of the poster below is not necessarily a universal problem.

Thanks for posting this! Also make sure you know your gift card balance, some companies charge handling fees. I found a great resource to find out how to check your iTunes gift card balance:
