Facebook To Launch iPad App And iOS 5 Integration At Next Week’s iPhone Event [Report]

That Facebook engineer who quit for Google after his bosses refused to release his feature-complete app? Turns out they might have been holding it back for a reason: Apple’s going to feature it at next week’s iPhone event, and they’ll show off new Facebook iOS 5 integration alongside it, just like Apple’s already rolled out in the iOS 5 betas for Twitter.

Looks awesome, and very compelling. These could be fake, but I sure hope not. If Facebook has just been waiting for Apple to announce the iPhone 5 with Facebook iOS 5 integration before they roll out the native iPad app, everything suddenly makes sense. Let’s hope this is true.
