Matt Pearce made this great little video about some of Apple’s early prototypes that show strong echoes of its modern products.
The materials might be different and the technology might look ancient, but Matt’s talking about the ideas. He does a good job of demonstrating certain design concepts which have been around for a long time.
As Matt says in the video:
“[These early tablets] clearly show Apple was thinking about the tablet form factor long before the announcement of the iPad.”
Matt’s done a great job here, packing a lot of info into just over a minute and a half.

wooow never knew tablets were earlier than now
These are images from the Apple Industrial Design book which is defo worth a read. I bought it years ago and it shows how ahead of their time Apple were in their thinking.
