Because of coronavirus-induced lockdown, Apple didn’t hold an Apple Watch Activity Challenge on Earth Day in May as it has for the three previous years.
Instead, Apple is hosting an Earth-themed exercise challenge this month to coincide with World Environment Day. Here’s what you need to know to complete it.
The June 5 challenge lets users collect a special World Environment Day badge by getting up and moving for at least one minute for 12 hours of the day. Users who complete it will also get stickers for use in Messages and FaceTime.
Apple offers many themed Apple Watch Activity Challenges throughout the year. These most commonly center on holidays like Thanksgiving and Mother’s Day, and often vary from country to country. For instance, the two previous holidays are either not celebrated or are celebrated on different days outside the U.S. In other markets, Apple has created Activity Challenges for things like China’s National Fitness Day.
