Apple Music Replay All Time launched Monday, letting listeners see which tracks they’ve played over their history with the service.
It comes as part of a broader 10th-anniversary celebration for the music-streaming service. Other upgrades include an upcoming top-500 Apple Music tracks countdown, special programming on Apple Music Radio and a new Apple Music studio planned to open in Los Angeles this summer.
Apple Music Replay All Time: Up to a decade of listening history in one playlist
Apple Music’s Replay All Time feature builds on the annual Apple Music Replay that rounds up users’ most-played tracks each year. Replay All Time creates a personalized playlist accessible through the Apple Music Home tab, appearing prominently under the Top Picks For You section.
For subscribers who joined when Apple Music launched on June 30, 2015, this represents a full decade of musical evolution captured in a single, comprehensive playlist.
This new offering provides a more streamlined alternative to manually browsing through individual yearly Replay playlists, which Apple Music began offering in 2019. The new feature gives long-time subscribers an unprecedented view of how their musical preferences have developed over the years.
Apple has not yet clarified whether Replay All Time will find a permanent place on the platform or go away after a limited time. If permanent, the playlist would presumably continue updating to reflect ongoing listening patterns for Apple Music’s subscriber base.
Top 500 countdown celebrates streaming milestones
Alongside the personal Replay All Time feature, Apple Music Radio will unveil the platform’s top 500 most-streamed songs from the past decade. The countdown begins July 1, revealing 100 songs daily over five days.
The celebration concludes July 5 with the debut of the top 100 most-streamed tracks, after which the complete 10 Years of Apple Music: Top Songs playlist becomes available for streaming.
Broader anniversary celebrations
The 10th anniversary festivities extend beyond playlist features. Apple Music Radio is hosting a weeklong series of special programming and live shows.
Additionally, Apple announced the establishment of a new Los Angeles-based “global hub for artists,” emphasizing the continued importance of live-hosted radio programming.
Apple Music has grown significantly since its 2015 debut, now holding approximately 31% of the American music streaming market. The service operates under Apple’s broader services division, which generated $26.6 billion of the company’s $95.4 billion revenue in the most recent quarter, highlighting Apple’s strategic shift toward subscription-based revenue models.
