Apple is making two developer-focused changes to the App Store. Developers can now upload additional documentation and assets while their app is under review.
Secondly, developers can create up to 70 custom pages — double the previous limit.
More custom pages, more flexible App Store review process
Previously, Apple required developers to upload all their materials at once when submitting an app for review. That restriction is easing now, with the company allowing additional uploads during the review process.
Apple cites a few examples for better clarity:
- One or more In-App Events in a separate submission if you have an app version under review.
- An app version to address a critical bug that’s separate from any existing custom product pages under review.
- One or more Game Center features — including achievements, leaderboards, challenges, and more — in a submission that’s separate from an app version under review.
Apple’s also doubling down on flexibility with custom product pages. It is expanding the limit from 35 to 70. Each page can even have its own keywords to boost App Store visibility.
Apple notes that “custom product pages with keywords assigned to them can appear in search results for those selected keywords instead of your default product page.”
Both these changes are already live, and developers can take advantage of them from today itself.
Offer code expands to support more transactions
Besides the above, Apple has enabled offer code support to include all types of in-app purchases. This includes consumable, non-consumable and non-renewing subscriptions.
Offer codes allow developers to offer users a free or discounted in-app purchase for a limited time. As part of this change, Apple will phase out support for promo codes for IAPs in App Store Connect starting March 26, 2026.
Going forward, Apple only wants developers to use promo codes to offer free app downloads.
