Daily Deals: $999 iMacs, $490 16GB iPhone 3G, Apple Final Cut Express HD

We wrap up the week with more deals on iMacs, including $999 for a 22-inch 3.06GHz desktop computer from the Apple Store. Apple is offering four iMacs in all. PC Connection is selling another 21.5-inch 3.06GHz iMac for $1,099. Lastly, if you received a video camera over the holidays, you may be burning to share your masterpieces. A deal on Apple’s Final Cut Express HD could be just the ticket.

(Each is at least 13% off and with free shipping, many are at lowest-we’ve-seen prices.) All come with a 1-year Apple warranty, the same as new Macs. Sales tax is added where applicable. [With free shipping, that’s the lowest total price we could find by $50, although we saw it for $50 less in December (since expired)]. It features an Intel Core 2 Duo E7600 3.06GHz dual-core processor, 21.5″ 1920×1080 widescreen LCD, 4GB RAM, 500GB Serial ATA hard drive, NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics, SuperDrive, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, AirPort Extreme, iSight, Apple Magic Mouse, and Apple Aluminum Keyboard (small).

Also available is the Apple iMac Core 2 Duo 3.06GHz 21.5″ Desktop, model no. MC413LL/A, for $1,489 before this $90 mail-in rebate, $1,399 after. [With free shipping, that’s the lowest total price we could find by $50, although it was also $50 less in December (since expired)]. This configuration includes a 1TB Serial ATA hard drive and ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics. Rebates end January 31.

765528-largeCOST.com offers the refurbished iPhone 3G 16GB for AT&T in Black, model no. MB048LL/A, for $489.99 plus $9.99 for shipping. (Buy.com has it for a penny more.) [It’s the lowest total price we’ve seen this model offered without any wireless contract obligations.] It features compatibility with AT&T’s 3G network, built-in GPS navigation with Google Maps, enhanced enterprise support, a 3.5″ touch screen, at least 5 hours of talk time, and more.

Of note a 90-day warranty applies, but it’s not clear who backs it.

713130-largeMegaMacs.com offers dealmac readers Apple’s Final Cut Express HD 4, model no. MB278Z/A, for $149.49. (With $6.99 for shipping, that’s the lowest total price we could find by $2.) This is the full, retail-boxed version.

Of note, OfficeMax also offers the Jabra GN 4800 Series HiFi Stereo Headset for $50 with free shipping. (That’s $150 off list and the lowest total price we could find.) The HiFi provides high-fidelity stereo audio performance and features a noise-canceling microphone.

This $20 mail-in rebate (paid via a pre-paid Visa card) knocks it down to $36.99. (That’s the lowest total price we could find by a buck.) It features an internal antenna, four 10/100 ports, USB 2.0 port for print sharing, and more. Rebate expires January 31.
