Carol Gerber wants to help reconcile lawyers who bring in their own iPads to work with the IT department.

Gerber is an former bankruptcy attorney who has been imparting tech training to lawyers for a decade. On the front lines of the Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) movement, she’s created an iPad class approved by the New York State Continuing Legal Education Board.

Apple Could Be Slapped With $38 Million Fine For Using iPad Name In China

Apple comes down hard on manufacturers that attempt to use its product names — or any variation of its product names — for their own goods. We learned this yesterday when it was revealed the Cupertino company is demanding a New Zealand case manufacturer to change the name of its driPhone brand. But it seems Apple may be guilty of exactly the same practice, which could land it a $38 million fine from Chinese company Proview Technology.

Chinese Manufacturer Cancels Steve Jobs Action Figure After ‘Immense Pressure’ From Apple

Despite vowing that nothing would stop it from producing its 12-inch Steve Jobs action figure, the Chinese toy manufacturer In Icons has finally cancelled production after “immense pressure” from lawyers representing both Apple and Steve’s family.
