Path 2.1 Now Available In App Store With Nike+, Music Match, Camera Improvements

A new version of social networking app Path is now available in the App Store for iPhone users. Path 2.1 features several new features and improvements, including a Shazam-like ‘Music Match’ tool for identifying music playing around you.

The app’s camera features have also been improved with focus and exposure options and a new setting called “Pow!” for creating comic book-style pics. Nike+ integration has been added to let you journal your runs in Path.

Apple Brings New Interface And Netflix Billing To Current Apple TVs With 5.0 Update

In the slew of software updates Apple has released today, version 5.0 for the Apple TV brings the new user interface that was demoed during today’s keynote. The new icon-based interface harkens to the feel of iOS with “channel” hubs for content providers like Netflix and MLB.com.

5 app-like icons are displayed for each row under the interface’s top marquee. Apple’s cloud-based iTunes Match service can be used to access your music library on the Apple TV, and iTunes Home Sharing can be used to access libraries locally stored on your network. You also have direct access to Netflix, MLB, NBA, NHL, Apple’s own Trailers app, Wall Street Journal Live, YouTube, Vimeo, iTunes Podcasts, Internet Radio, Photo Stream, and Flickr.

Apple Introduces More Speed And Design Improvements To The iPad App Store

It looks like Apple has made some subtle improvements to the App Store on the iPad. You won’t notice the changes at first or second (maybe even third) glance, but they are there all the same.

The “Top Charts” section of the iPad’s App Store has been updated with vertical scrolling and faster loading times, mirroring a similar update Apple made several months ago.

Apple Releases OS X 10.7.3 Supplemental Update With Time Machine Fix

Apple has just issued a supplemental update for OS X 10.7.3 that resolves an issue with Time Machine backups malfunctioning. For some users, restoring from a backup could result in errors, so this update is recommended for all machines on Lion that use Time Machine. You can grab the update in Software Update on your Mac or through this direct link. The file weighs in at 24.55 MB.

Twitter Updates Its Mobile App For Both Android And iOS

Twitter has pushed out an update for both the Android and iOS mobile apps which brings back a few popular features as well as adding a couple new ones.
