Apple SEED is an official training app that you can’t download from the App Store. It’s designed to teach Apple Store employees and Authorized Resellers all they need to know about the company’s products and services.
Here’s a trick that lets you try out the SEED app on your own iPhone.
Apple is expected to seed its second iOS 7 beta to developers today, two weeks after it released the first during the Worldwide Developers Conference, according to carrier sources. The update it expected to fix bugs that were present in the first beta, and address things like performance and battery life. We may even see some more new features.
Apple has just posted a new pre-release developer seed for upcoming OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.4, Build 12E55.
In the notes accompanying the seed release, which includes Combo (comprehensive) and Delta (just changes) update installers, Apple notes the same focus areas as the last few seeds: Wi-Fi, Graphics Drivers, and Safari. This seed, though, also has Windows File Sharing, a new addition to the list since the last seed, build 12E47, which was released at the beginning of this month.
Could this rapid release schedule mean that 10.8.4 is getting closer to actual release to consumers? As this is the sixth developer release of 10.8.4, and 10.8.3 went through 13 different seeds, the answer may be a qualified no, as Apple tends to iterate on its dot releases fairly often and consistently.
Seems like Apple is ramping up the developer seeds for the beta of OS X 10.8.4, with yet another release today, this one of seed Build 12E36.
Similar to the last seed, the release notes mention that the focus areas for developers to look at are Wi-Fi, Graphics Drivers, and Safari. The notes also say there are no Known Issues at this time.
This is the 4th release this month for the beta of OS X 10.8.4, while 10.8.3 (itself going through 13 revisions over a five month period) was released to the public a few weeks back. The previous 10.8.4 seeds were sent to developers on April 1, April 9, and April 17 of this year.
Apple has seeded a new OS X Lion build to registered developers this morning, less than two weeks after the previous build was seeded through the Apple Dev Center. This one comes with build number 11G45.
Developers have already received several pre-release builds of Apple’s OS X Lion 10.7.3 software, and we had expected last week’s release to be the last one before the update goes public. But it seems there’s still some testing to be done. Apple has seeded yet another build to developers through the Mac Dec Center, this time with the build number 11D50.
Despite rumors that suggested its previous seed would be the last one before a public release, Apple has seeded another build of its OS X Lion 10.7.3 software to registered developers. The latest release sports the build number 11D46, and is available to download now from the Mac Dev Center.
