“Magician” and “iPad” in the same sentence means Simon Pierro. The iPad magician cooked up some new quarantine -themed tricks to show off. (He also reminds fans to stay at home to help slow the spread of COVID-19.)

Instead of writing to Santa Claus, a 10-year-old boy named Aiden sent a message to iPad magician Simon Pierro asking for a few Christmas-themed magic tricks in a YouTube video.

Pierro not only came through with Aiden’s request, but he also used the kid’s drawing of Olaf, the snowman character from Disney’s Frozen, in his unique iPad magic.

If a tablet computer is a window on the world, then live snakes recently crawled through that window in a mall in Germany thanks to the iPad magician Simon Pierro.

Pierro operates his iPad in a space that can not be explained with a chip, graphics card, app or even augmented reality. All that shoppers knew is that one second Pierro was showing them a picture of a snake and then guiding it out of the iPad to slither and wiggle the next.

This, as you can imagine, scared the bejesus out of people.

iPad magician Simon Pierro is used to civilized audiences when he performs mesmerizing tricks on his Apple tablet.

But on a recent trip to the Sacred Monkey Forest in Ubud, Bali, the long-tailed crowds that gathered curiously around Pierro’s iPad reacted quite aggressively as he made bananas and peanuts suddenly appear on his screen.

Simon Pierro presented an Oscar for a new category: best reaction to a magician pulling an actual golden statuette from an iPad.

Pierro, who travels the world as the iPad magician, capitalized on the buzz leading up to Sunday’s Academy Awards by strolling the Walk of Fame performing tricks for dumbfounded onlookers.
