Fujifilm, arguably the company that started the current (and very welcome) trend of putting proper manual knobs and dials back on cameras, is currently teasing what looks like an SLR-style model for its outstanding X-Series lineup. Likely to be named the XT–1, the camera might take over the role of the current top-of-the-line X-Pro1.
The Snap Strap does away with the annoying problem of your earbud cables ending up in your mouth when you’re just trying to enjoy a delicious hamburger and listen to some music at the same time. It’s a clever little strap that clips to the left and right cables of your ’buds and then sits across the back of your neck, keeping the cables away from your gnashing maw.

The iPhone’s LED lamp is a handy as hell. I never, ever use it for photos, but I use it as a flashlight all the time, and I have it set to flash when my iPhone gives me an alert (usually it makes my jeans pocket flash alarmingly).

Bem’s upcoming Wireless Speaker Duo is great in all kinds of ways. First, it looks like an old-timey radio, complete with rounded edges and simple bent-metal handle. I love wireless gadgets, but sometimes they’re more trouble than they’re worth. I tried to use Microsoft’s Natural Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 for a while, and it was indeed comfortable. However, the keys were squishy, and the unit itself made it seem like I had a black-painted Bantha-II cargo skiff on my desk.

According to Topeka Capital Markets analyst Brian White earlier this year, Apple’s busy working on an “iRing" finger ring we’ll use to control our Apple devices with. The suggestion was so preposterous that even the usually poker-faced Tim Cook cracked a joke about it.

Arcam, the UK high-end audio company, has a little nugget to tempt audiophiles. It’s called the miniBlink, and it’s a “hi-def” Bluetooth audio adapter with a proper built-in DAC. What? Don’t fret. It just means you can beam Bluetooth audio to your stereo without it sounding crappy.
LAS VEGAS — Seriously, everyone has a mother, but not everyone wants to live with her.
Here comes Mother, the remote sensor gadget we got to play with a bit at CES in Vegas this week. It’s a small, shmoo-shaped object that sits in your house, and tracks the sensors you can then attach to a variety of mundane objects like your toothbrush, your pill bottles, your mattress, or your refrigerator.
Mother then interacts with one of the 15 entry-level apps that come with the device to help you track what you do: how many times do you brush your teeth a day? Are you eating too much in the evening? How’s your sleep?
The initial bundle, available only at CES this week, is $222 for the Mother sensor hub and four cookies. The retail price will likely be higher when Mother hits stores.
