Zagg Protect is a new insurance plan for iPhones, covering drops, liquid damage, cracked screens and more.
The new service is going into competition with AppleCare+. Unlike the Apple version, Zagg Protect can be added to older phones.
Apple just made its AppleCare+ breakage insurance cover more accidents. In some cases, twice and even three times as many.
The program now offers deeply-discounted repairs on two accidents for every twelve months of coverage. Previously, it only covered a total of two repairs.
There are a lot of expensive and breakable items in any Apple Store, as a man in Leeds, UK demonstrated earlier this year. He was accused of walking into an Apple retail location and destroying £40,412 ($52,267) worth of merchandise.
