A former Apple Store Genius is suing Apple for not providing legally obligated adequate facilities to allow him to work with his disability.

Robert Shaw says he was promised that the store he worked at would be fitted with automatic doors and a special table to accommodate his wheelchair. However, this did not happen to the degree allegedly promised.

Tim Cook is on a business trip to Japan right now — and, as part of his travels, he paid a visit to the first Apple Store the company opened outside of the United States.

That store is located in Ginza, a trendy shopping district in Tokyo. “Our very first store outside of the US, Apple Ginza is always such a special place,” Cook tweeted. “Thanks for a wonderful visit!”

Iconic Arizona Apple store wins design award

Apple’s townsquare-style store at Scottsdale Fashion Square in Arizona nabbed the best of design award for retail and mixed-use space from The Architect’s Newspaper.

The Scottsdale Apple store beat out a Christian Dior store in Chicago’s high fashion shopping district and a retail center in Springfield, Missouri. Boasting design features like a cantilevered roof for shading, the store looks unlike most other Apple stores you usually see.

Apple Store logos around the world have started turning red to highlight Apple’s commitment to raising awareness of World AIDS Day. Red is the color associated with World AIDS Day, dating back to the introduction of its red ribbons introduced in 1991.

World AIDS Day officially takes place this Sunday, December 1. However, Apple Stores are making the symbolic change a few days early.

The Ratings and Reviews section of Apple’s online store was recently removed from all product pages with no word on why the change was made.

Apple Stores trial extended eligibility periods for AppleCare+

Some Apple Stores in the U.S. and Canada are trialling extended eligibility periods for AppleCare+, according to a new report.

The trial, which started this week, allows Apple’s extended warranty plan to be purchased beyond the usual 60-day window. But devices must be inspected by the Genius Bar first.

Police arrested nine suspects in England after a raid on an Apple Store. The dramatic incident saw authorities employ a helicopter and officers on the ground during the search for the thieves.

The robbery took place in Basingstoke, the largest town in the county of Hampshire. Three thieves involved in the incident attacked a security guard, before making off with seven iPhones.

Apple has fired an Apple Store employee after they stole a personal photo from the iPhone of a customer.

The employee in question worked at the Valley Plaza Mall Apple Store in Bakersfield, CA. Apple has said the employee in question “acted far outside the strict privacy guidelines to which we hold all Apple employees”. They confirmed that the employee is no longer working for Apple.

The incident took place at the Apple Store in Calgary’s Chinook Center on Saturday night. The thieves were captured on surveillance video. However, they were able to get away with the stolen handsets.

According to new images, the iconic glass cube is getting a slightly psychedelic upgrade, with an iridescent coating that reflects every color under the sun. It’s a neat, attention-grabbing nod to the classic Apple rainbow logo which disappeared 20 years ago last month.

An Apple Store in San Mateo’s Hillsdale Shopping Center was targeted by a trio of thieves Thursday night. They escaped from the San Mateo robbery with 40 Apple products.

The San Mateo robbery was reported at 9.01pm Thursday. Cops arrived within two minutes, but the thieves had already escaped. A high-speed pursuit then took place. However, the thieves got away.
