The Apple Card hasn’t publicly launched yet, but employees at both Apple and its partner Goldman Sachs are already publicly testing out the credit card.

In an interview at Recode’s Code Conference, Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon talked about his experience of using the joint credit card. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he really, really likes it.

Apple Card partner Goldman Sachs is taking a very Apple approach to making money from the venture, by pushing customer loyalty over squeezing out as much profitability as possible.

At an “IGNITION: Transforming Finance” event on Monday, Omer Ismail, who heads up Goldman’s Marcus division, talked Apple Card. Ismail also explained why he’s not worried about a potential lack of profit.

Apple will roll out a new software update today to fix a Portrait mode bug on the iPhone 8 Plus.

iOS 12.3.2, which comes just two weeks after the release of iOS 12.3.1, is another minor update for most iPhone and iPad users. For those with an iPhone 8 Plus, however, it will bring depth back to Portrait photos.

Citigroup reportedly was in advanced negotiations with Apple but pulled out of the Apple Card deal due to doubts that it will be profitable.

Growth of the iPhone install base in the U.S. has been on a downward trend for years now, but CIRP’s latest report reveals that growth was at its slowest rate ever during the first quarter of 2019.

New photos reveal how Apple Card will be presented to consumers when it starts reaching early adopters this summer.

It’s the first time we’ve seen the titanium Card’s fancy packaging since it was announced back in March. It is said to be in beta testing with Apple employees ahead of its launch.

Apple seeded the fourth beta of iOS 12.3 to developers this morning, just one week after the last beta was released. iOS 12.3 beta 4 brings with it a number of changes for iPhone and iPad, including changes to the Apple TV app, Wallet app tweaks and tons of bug fixes.

Update: The public can now also download iOS 12.3 beta 4, allowing anyone to test out the new features.

A survey found that a whopping 85 percent of iPhone users are at least somewhat interested in this card, which is an adjunct to Apple Pay.

One thing I’ve long loved about Apple products is how easy they are to setup. There’s no scouring incomprehensible user manuals. Simply turn a new device on and you’ll be using it within minutes.

Apple Pay Cash can’t come from credit cards [Updated]

You can still send money to friends and family with Apple Pay Cash. You just can’t get the cash from a credit card.

It is no longer possible to transfer money into an Apple Pay Cash account from a credit card. Transferring funds in via a debit card from another bank is allowed, however.

The service still enables users to make person-to-person payments, but the money cannot come from a credit card.

Goldman Sachs eyes new markets for Apple Card

Apple Card may be exclusive to the U.S. for now, but Goldman Sachs hints that won’t always be the case.

Apple’s partner says it will be looking at plans to bring Apple Card to other markets in the future. Goldman CEO Richard Gnodde expects the card to take off quickly over the summer.

With Apple Pay, Apple has done as much as anyone to popularize contactless payments in the U.S. Despite this, it seems that the new physical titanium Apple Card won’t offer contactless payments when used in stores that don’t accept Apple Pay (or anywhere else for that matter).

At least, that’s according to a spokesperson from MasterCard.

Against all odds, Apple’s introduction of its “Apple Card” credit card managed to outshine Hollywood’s finest stars at yesterday’s keynote event. Among the card’s nifty features, Apple promised an interest rate among the lowest in the industry.

But is it? Details on the new Apple Card website include the “lower interest rates” in their footnotes. And while they’re certainly not excessive, they’re also not quite as low as you might think.

Apple’s services business is about to kick things into overdrive in 2019. During the company’s “It’s show time” event at Apple Park this morning the company unveil a slew of new services that cover everything from news to credit cards.

There was something for everyone to get excited about at today’s event that packed more celebrity power than any Apple event ever. Tim Cook finally gave us a look at the original TV shows Apple has been brewing up for years, but there are still a lot of questions surrounding Apple’s new services.

Everyone from Netflix to big banks were put on notice today with Apple’s new services lineup. Only one of the new services are launching today, but there’s still a lot to look forward too.
