Lesson: Don't steal an Apple Watch.

Two possible Apple Watch thieves have been jailed after the rightful owner “pinged” the device while police officers were searching the thieves’ home.

Pinging an Apple Watch from an iPhone is a way to find your watch if you’ve somehow misplaced it. From the sound of things, it’s pretty great to do if a couple of criminals have stolen your Apple Watch, too.

The great thing about having Siri built into your Apple Watch is that it’s always there when you need it. The bad thing about it is that it’s there when you don’t need it, too.

BBC Weather meteorologist Tomasz Schafernaker recently ran into an embarrassing mishap on live TV when describing snow in the US Midwest. At that point, Siri kicked in to correct him, saying there was actually no snow forecast.

If the couch sounds more tempting than a chilly November workout, you should think again. If you accept Apple’s Thanksgiving Day Challenge, it could be the most important workout you do all year.

When you finish logging a workout with Apple Watch, you can gloat over all your hard work in the Activity app on your iPhone. This provides all kinds of useful charts, maps and trends to show you how you’re doing.

A Central Texas man says that his Apple Watch saved his life by detecting a serious heart condition.

A veterinarian by training, Dr. Ray Emerson said that, despite routinely listening to animals’ heart beats, he was caught unaware when his own heart beat registered as unusual. “The watch dinged me,” he told CBS Austin. “I looked down and it said you are in atrial fibrillation.”

The default passcode length on the Apple Watch is just four digits. And while it’s true that you don’t keep as much sensitive data on the smartwatch as you do on an iPhone, and that your Apple Watch is arguably safer from bad actors because it is always strapped to your wrist, it’s still worth making this passcode more secure. After all, it’s not like you have to enter your strong passcode very often, right?

Today we’ll see how to change your Apple Watch passcode to a longer one. And we’ll also check out a neat feature that lets you skip entering the passcode altogether.

Apple Watch is already swim-proof, but the next version could take that to new depths.
