An image that reportedly shows iPhone case stickers seemingly adds more evidence that Apple will call its smallest iPhone 12 model the “iPhone 12 mini.”

The pictures, posted on Twitter Thursday evening by Apple leaker DuanRui, follow a recent report from @L0vetodream suggesting that this year’s models will be called the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Twitter user @laobaiTD, aka Mr-white, posted images late Wednesday of what he claims is the braided Lightning cable that will come with iPhone 12.

At present, the Mac Pro is the only Apple product to come with a more-durable braided cable, which also provides a premium look. Check out the images of the alleged iPhone 12 cable below.

The iPhone 12 will debut at a special event on October13, multiple sources claimed on Wednesday. The release date will reportedly come shortly thereafter.

Cupertino is widely expected to introduce its next-generation handset in October, with only the date remaining a mystery. According to several sources, there’ll be an Apple event the second Tuesday of that month to take the wraps off.

The other ones would be called “iPhone 12,” “iPhone 12 Pro” and “iPhone 12 Pro Max.”

After months of near quiet, a images and even video leaked out supposedly showing Apple’s first over-the-ears headphones, possibly called AirPods Studio.

If real, these show the headphones will have a squarish design, with curved edges and corners.

For Apple leaker Jon Prosser, Tuesday’s “Time Flies” event was a make-or-break situation.

Prosser, the Front Page Tech YouTuber whose reputation took a hit last week after he claimed Apple would launch new Apple Watches and iPads via press release, staked his continued relevance on his predictions for the event.

When the dust finally settled Tuesday, Prosser did not find himself slurping up a hot bowl of claim chowder. In fact, he pretty much nailed it.

Apple will reduce the size of the notch in the iPhone 12, but only in a single version of this upcoming handset.

That’s one of the predictions made Monday by a respected analyst about what’s on the docket for Apple’s September 15 event.

One day ahead of Apple’s “Time Flies” media event, leaker Jon Prosser showed off what he claims are accurate renders of the long-awaited AirTags trackers.

Apple’s bottle-cap-size location trackers use ultra-wideband technology, and promise to help users find keys, wallets or whatever other item they pin them to. Check out Prosser’s AirTags video below.

Details of what’s been called the “Apple Watch SE” may have leaked out. An unconfirmed report indicates this model will have the same design as the wearable this company released in 2018, but with some of the high-end features stripped out. That will make it a lower-cost option.

A new glass panel, supposedly destined for iPhone 12 Pro, might reveal the location of the handset’s new LiDAR Scanner.

In the image, shared Tuesday on Twitter by leaker Mr·white, an additional hole appears alongside the three camera cutouts in the top corner of the panel. Unlike all the other holes, which are left wide open, this one has a dark covering like that on the 2020 iPad Pro.

Images that appear to show training manuals or marketing images for the forthcoming iPad Air 4 were posted by an Apple leaker posted Wednesday.

The images, posted by Twitter user DuanRi, show off a design similar to the iPad Pro. If the images are real, the iPad Air 4 will be the first in this series without a Home key. And there’ll be a single rear-mounted camera.

Interestingly, the images also suggest Apple will stick with Touch ID, rather than adopting Face ID for the next-gen iPad Air. The Touch ID sensor will be incorporated into the power button, not under the display (as some previous rumors suggested).

New images and video of a prototype iPhone 12 Pro Max allegedly fell into the hands of frequent Apple leaker Jon Prosser. This allows him to reveal that Apple’s next handset will have thinner bezels — but the notch isn’t shrinking.

He also served up details Tuesday on the upcoming iPhone’s camera that add weight to numerous earlier leaks. That includes a higher video recording rate, a Lidar sensor and more.

Apple will hold an iPhone 12 event the week of October 12, with the device shipping a week later, according to up-and-coming leaker Jon Prosser. The iPhone 12 Pro would land the following month, he said.

Without citing a source (obviously), he tweeted his “new, adjusted Apple dates” Wednesday afternoon.

iPhone 12 camera problem might have an upside for Apple

Apple reportedly encountered a problem with some of the camera lenses it plans to use for the iPhone 12. Specifically, some of the coatings for the wide-angle lens cracked during a high-pressure, high-humidity stress test, according to TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

While that might not sound great, there’s actually no reason to panic. And the supply-chain problem might even wind up saving Apple a few bucks.

iPhone 12 could get two separate releases

The iPhone 12 release could be staggered, with certain models going on sale before others, a new report from Digitimes suggests.

This year, Apple is expected to release four iPhone models. These are likely to include a regular iPhone 12 in 5.4-inch and 6.1-inch models, and an iPhone 12 Pro in 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch variants.

Leaked image suggests Apple has no plans to nix the notch on iPhone 12

Images posted to Chinese social media depict what could be the notch and display for the upcoming 5.4-inch iPhone 12.

It’s tough to tell too much from the picture. However, if accurate, it contradicts previous reports that Apple could reduce the size of the notch or eliminate it completely on the new iPhones. On the contrary, since the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 could be the smallest Face ID iPhone yet, the notch might be comparatively larger than ever!

New iMac may be on the way, but don’t expect Apple Silicon or redesign just yet

Apple could (possibly) debut its iMac refresh as soon as this week. But those hoping for the much-rumored iMac redesign and Apple Silicon integration likely will need to wait a bit longer.

The suggestion that Apple will update the iMac was first mentioned in a tweet by leaker @Soybeys that has since been deleted. Apple leaker Jon Prosser, who also has been known to be pretty accurate in the past, said new iMacs are on the way, but suggested they will debut in August instead.

Prosser also said not to expect a major iMac redesign until the first Apple Silicon Macs arrive further down the line.

Rather than the usual September launch, the iPhone 12 reportedly won‘t be unveiled until the second half of October. And Apple’s first 5G model supposedly won’t reach customers until November.

This isn’t the first unconfirmed report that the next iPhone will come out later than usual. In fact, there have been quite a few.

Apple will release its first MacBook Pro and MacBook Air powered by Apple Silicon by the end of 2020, a report published Thursday claims.

According to Digitimes, Apple manufacturers will start shipping components such as backlit units (BLUs) for the next-gen MacBooks in the third quarter of 2020. That could be any time between now and September.
