If you haven’t already watched Apple’s WWDC keynote, it’s probably because you just haven’t found the time. At just under two hours long, it’s not something you can just slip into your day. But you can now watch it at your leisure on any of your electronics devices because Apple just uploaded the entire thing to YouTube.
Apple hasn’t even announced a price tag or release date for the tiny new Mac Pro machines that were unveiled at WWDC, but that’s not stopping one company from creating a Mac Pro server rack that will turn Apple’s new pro machines into a supercomputer.
The new cylindrical design of the Mac Pro makes it perfect for linking to other Mac Pros to form a supercomputer, and MacStadium announced that it has created a rack that can hold 270 Mac Pros but only occupies 12 square-feet of floor space.
Remember the Unibody MacBook, so called because it was milled from a single chunk of aluminum? Now that most of Apple’s products are made that way, you never hear the term “Unibody” any more – it’s like cars: you only write “16-valve”, “ABS” or “fuel injection”on the back when you’re showing off something new.
It’s time, then, for a new construction method, and the new “trashcan” Mac Pro has one. It’s called Impact Extrusion, and it is super cool.
The new Mac Pro is probably going to be one of the most insane piece of desktop hardware ever created.
We know all that horsepower is going to be used to create some really great creative content, but there are some altnative uses for the Mac Pro that you’d never even dream of, like a beer keg.

Remember when the Smart Cover for iPad was first announced, and it turned out Apple was apparently inspired by Japanese bath mats when coming up with their design? Looks like Jony Ive looked around his hotel room during a recent trip to Tokyo and let another everyday Japanese object influence the design of one of Apple’s latest products.
Even though we don’t know the release date or price, people are absolutely drooling over the new Mac Pro that Apple announced at WWDC. It’s tiny, black, and powerful as hell, so who can blame them.

Apple just finished its WWDC keynote and holy crap, there is a ton of new stuff coming to iOS 7 and OS X. A radical looking Mac Pro was also showed off alongside some MacBook Airs with all-day battery life.
To help save you some time, here’s a list of everything new Apple introduced today at WWDC 2013 that we’ll be updating throughout the day as new info become available.
Apple just gave developers at WWDC a sneak peek of the next Mac Pro, a revolutionary and radical new design for the next ten years. “Can’t innovate anymore, my ass!” quips Phil Schiller.
It’s a major departure, with a new stealth look. The new Mac Pro is built around a new unified thermal core, with a new generation 12-core Xeon processor. Twice as fast as the previous generation. The memory’s also super charged, 1866MHz DD3 with a 60GBps bandwidth. This is a powerhouse.
With just over two hours to go until Apple kicks off its WWDC 2013 keynote, the Apple online store has gone down. We can’t say we’re hugely surprised, but the move does suggest that we won’t just see software previews today, but also new hardware as well.

Every year thousands of Apple developers flock to San Francisco to attend Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference to be educated in all things Apple. Over the past decade the conference has undergone some big changes as Apple has introduced products like the iPhone, Mac Pro, Intel Processors, Mac OS X operating systems, and much more.
An event that used to be lightly attended has now become the most popular developers conference in the world and sold out within 2 hours this years
Here’s a look at the many banners that have decorated the halls of WWDC over the past 11 years:
Apple hasn’t updated the Mac Pro in forever. It’s been 1,039 days since the Mac Pro received a respectable upgrade. Tim Cook promised us something really great for the Mac Pro will be coming in 2013. It’s possible we might even see it at WWDC.
In the build up towards WWDC and Apple’s first keynote of the year, Mac Pro supplies have started drying up at retail stores. Diminishing stock can be a decent sign that a refresh is imminent for some Apple products, so MacTrast checked in with a dozen major Apple resellers and found that the entry level Mac Pro is getting harder to find.

Developers have been slowly ditching support for PowerPC processors since Apple made the switch to Intel, so if you still have an old PowerPC Mac lying around, it probably doesn’t get a lot of use. But if it’s a Power Mac G5, then there us one way you could put it to work.
Pull out its insides and set it alight and you have a gorgeous aluminum BBQ grill.
Last year Tim Cook said that Apple was working on “something really great” for the Mac Pro in 2013, and now it has been revealed that we could see a completely new model as soon as this month.
Apparently, the aluminum from this skateboard was repurposed from an old Mac Pro (or Power Mac G5?). Since Apple’s pretty much abandoned updating their Pro desktop, that’s one way to make sure all that pretty metal doesn’t go to waste.

Apple has stopped selling the Mac Pro through its European online stores ahead of the machine’s discontinuation throughout the EU on March 1. Although the high-end desktop still appears on Apple’s website, it’s listed as “currently unavailable,” and customers are unable to order it. Some models are still available in the refurbished section, however.

Although Apple did not revamp the aged Mac Pro line last year, Tim Cook and Apple executives have reiterated their commitment to the Pro segment in the last six months on at least a couple of occasions, and it is believed — somewhat skeptically, true, by some current Mac Pro owners who want to replace their dying machines — that Apple will release a freshly redesigned Mac Pro in 2013, especially since they can no longer sell existing Mac Pros in Europe starting March 1.
Now an anecdotal report confirms that an Apple representative has confirmed to a French computer seller that a “new range of Mac Pro will be released in spring 2013.”
This could mean anything. It could be wishful thinking, it could confirm a new Mac Pro range that is changed just enough to get around new E.U. environmental regulations that prevent the Mac Pro from being sold there, or it could harbinger an exotic new Mac Pro design in total. We’ll have to wait and see.

The International Electrotechnical Commission has forced Apple to stop selling the Mac Pro in European countries. Apple has officially announced the news to its retail partners, and all sales for the Mac Pro will come to a halt after February 18th. The U.S. remains unaffected.
The reason for the sales ban has to do with updated European regulatory requirements relating to fan guards and electrical port protection. Apple has previously confirmed that a new Mac Pro is coming later in 2013, and the updated product should pass inspection just fine.
Apple’s Back to School promotion has begun in Australia and New Zealand ahead of the new school year. Like previous years, the promotion offers a free gift card with new Macs and iOS devices purchased for education, and it’s open to students, parents, and teachers. This year’s deal includes the MacBook Air and the MacBook Pro, the iMac and the Mac Pro, and the iPad with Retina display.
When Tim Cook said that Apple would start manufacturing part of its Mac lineup stateside in 2013, many speculated that the Mac Pro would be the most likely candidate. We postulated that the upcoming Mac Pro would make the perfect choice because it is easier to build and doesn’t sell as well as the other Macs. Apple would be able to test a desktop production line in the U.S. with a niche Mac that won’t create huge consumer demand.
According to a new rumor, it will not be the Mac Pro, but instead the Mac mini that gets manufactured in the U.S. next year.
Apple could be looking to switch its graphics cards supplier from NVIDIA back to AMD for the iMac. The Cupertino company began using NVIDIA solutions for its latest all-in-one, which started shipping late last month, but a job listing on its website suggests it could already be preparing to switch back. Apple is looking for a Hardware Systems Electrical Engineer with experience in AMD graphics processing units (GPU).
