Timely space-race drama For All Mankind just might propel Apple TV+ into becoming must-see TV. The show kicks off in the late 1960s, a couple of weeks before Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin strap themselves into a giant metal tube full of fuel that’s aimed at the moon.

From there, the story takes a sharp turn away from history and examines what the world would look like if the USSR planted its flag on the moon first. Space is obviously a huge part of For All Mankind, but the way creator Ronald D. Moore uses it as a vehicle to tackle topics like family, patriotism and feminism is what makes the show worth watching.

Just in time for Halloween, Apple TV+ is serving up two new teasers of its mysterious new series called Servant.

Created by M. Night Shyamalan, Servant follows a married couple who cope with the loss of their child by buying a therapy doll. Details on the show are being kept under wraps, including Rupert Grint’s enigmatic character Julian Pierce. Judging from the trailers and teasers we’ve seen so far though, a lot of weird stuff is about to go down.

Despite being named Donald Trump’s cybersecurity expert in 2017, Rudy Giuliani is so clueless about tech, he had to go to the Apple Store genius bar for help unlocking his iPhone.

Leaked internal documents from Apple reveal that just a few weeks after being tapped as Trump’s top cyber guy, Giuliani waited in front of a San Francisco Apple store with a very pressing issue: he had forgotten his passcode and couldn’t unlock his iPhone.

Apple shares are soaring in after-hours trading today thanks to yet another record-breaking earnings report.

Apple is turning up the hype for the launch of Apple TV+ this morning with a new featurette for its big-budget series See.

The two-minute-long video shows never-before-seen clips of the show along with commentary from its creators and the cast. Early reviews for See were less than enthusiastic, but after seeing some of the behind the scenes shots, we’re cautiously optimistic that it could mature into something great.

Samsung is doubling down on its efforts to make smartphones with a folding display a thing.

During Samsung’s annual developers conference this morning, the company unveiled a new folding phone concept that’s drastically different than the Galaxy Fold. Instead of folding from a regular-sized smartphone into a tablet, the new concept folds into a clamshell, kind of like a futuristic version of Motorola’s Razr phone.

Details of at least two unreleased Apple products may have been spilled by Apple’s big iOS 13.2 update that came out to the public this morning.

Apple has been rumored for months to be working on Bluetooth tracker tags similar to Tile’s. The official unveiling of Apple’s tracker could come by the end of the year, but references in iOS 13.2 may have just revealed its name.

Apple Watch could soon get some new competition from Google which has reportedly made an offer to buy Fitbit.

Alphabet, Google’s parent company, is supposedly aiming to get a slice of the fitness trackers and smartwatch market after ramping up its hardware efforts in recent years. Smartwatch arena Google doesn’t compete with Apple in but buy Fitbit could give the search engine giant a big boost to catch up.

Apple released iOS 13.2 to the public this morning after beta testing the software update with developers for a month.

iOS 13.2 and iPadOS 13.2 bring a bunch of new features and bug fixes to the iPhone and iPad, including more than 50 new emoji characters and support for the new AirPods Pro that were just revealed this morning.

Apple just posted a new video advertisement on Youtube, as the company does from time to time.

The ad is about privacy on iPhone which has been one of the company’s biggest talking points over the last few years. Honestly, I don’t think a single word from the ad actually entered my ears. I was too blown away with the creepy beautiful FPV drone shots that transport you from being a distant observer to an intimate guest in someone’s life.

San Francisco International Airport could soon get some serious tech upgrades thanks to Apple. The iPhone-maker is reportedly in discussions with United Airlines about giving the carrier’s SFO terminal a much-needed makeover.

Hot on the heels of yesterday’s big beta dump, Apple is back with one more beta software update for macOS Catalina.

macOS 10.15.1 beta 3 was seeded to developers this morning, bringing a host of new bug fixes for the Mac following the public launch of macOS Catalina just earlier this month.

Apple’s Amazing Stories TV series will contain the last acting performance by Oscar-nominated actor Robert Forster.

New details on the new series produced by Steven Spielberg were revealed this week including the plotline of the episode starring Forster which involves him getting superhero powers.

Progress on iOS 13.2’s public release has hit a blistering pace after Apple seeded the fourth beta build to developers today.

iOS 13.2 beta 4 arrived one week after Apple seeded beta 3 to developers. Apple’s website hinted that the public release could come by the end of the month, bringing new emoji, Siri features and more to iPhones and iPads very soon.

Apple has landed deals with Lee Pace and Jared Harris that will see the two actors star in the upcoming TV adaptation of Isaac Asimov’s novel Foundation.

The project got off to a rocky start earlier this year when co-showrunner Josh Friedman stepped down to go help James Cameron write the Avatar sequels. David S. Goyer has taken over as the lone showrunner and writer of the series which finally has some serious acting chops behind it too.

Disney is ready to tap into Verizon’s massive customer base to give it a massive influx of viewers for its upcoming streaming service Disney+.

Verizon revealed today that all of its customers will receive 12 months of Disney+ for free starting on November 12. The offer matches Apple’s own 12 free months offer for Apple TV+ to customers that buy a new Apple device.

Apple is making quick progress on the development of macOS 10.15.1, publishing its second beta build this morning.

macOS 10.15.1 beta 2 arrived for developers today, less than a week after the first beta dropped. The latest dev seed brings a host of bug fixes as Apple tries to patch up some of the holes in macOS Catalina, which launched earlier this month.

Netflix warned investors that the upcoming launch of Apple TV+ and Disney+ could generate “modest headwinds” when it comes to new subscriber growth. Despite the warning, Netflix shares surged in after-hours trading today after it reported better-than-expected earnings.

In a letter to shareholders, Netflix didn’t sound too worried about the upcoming streaming wars. The company pointed out that it’s already been competing against streamers and regular TV for over a decade now.

Apple TV+ is starting to stock up on new movies.

Apple has inked its second film deal with indie studio A24, which is already working with the iPhone-maker on Sofia Coppola’s next movie. The two companies are set to produce an adaptation of the critically acclaimed young adult novel The Sky Is Everywhere written by Jandy Nelson.

Apple is back with a brand new beta build of iOS 13.2 less than a week after seeding the second beta to developers.

iOS 13.2 beta 3 builds on the last two betas that added over 57 new emoji to iPhone and iPad along with Deep Fusion camera technology for the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. Today’s update is joined by watchOS 6.1 beta 4 and tvOS 13.2 beta 3, bringing tons of improvements to iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Apple TV.

Apple Card is off to smashing start, according to Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon.

During an earnings call this morning, Solomon updated investors on the status of Apple Card which launched in the US in August. Despite some skeptics worrying about Apple Card’s profitability, Solomon claims Apple Card is “the most successful credit-card launch ever.”

Google is gunning for Apple with a wave of new products designed to compete with everything from the iPhone to AirPods.

During its hour-long event this morning, Google revealed its best smartphone ever in the Pixel 4 and we must say, it actually looks pretty awesome. Google also came out with new smart speakers, WiFi routers, a new MacBook competitor and much more.

For a company that makes most of its money off of search engine ads, Google’s hardware game is finally looking like a worthy Apple challenger.
