Incipio’s Tribal ECO iPhone Case Rocks On! [Review]

By

P1060305

With its granite coloring and design, the Incipio Tribal Regrind ECO Case actually looks like a piece of carved stone.

This iPhone case is made out of 100% recycled silicone, and at least 20% of that is waste materials from other Incipio products. This makes The Tribal Regrind ECO Case one of the greenest molded cases ever.

Tube a company from Biel/Bienne, Switzerland makes an iPhone case out of old used bicycle tires. The tubes are collected from bicycle dealers and are specifically from the 80s. So i-tubes are totally green and retro at the same time. Shut up!

Tom Bihn Checkpoint Flyer MacBook Bag Is Just Plane Great [Review]

By

P1050904

The Tom Bihn Checkpoint Flyer bag is designed specifically to get your MacBook through an airport security screening.

No more pulling out your MacBook and putting it in a plastic bin. With the Checkpoint Flyer, you can leave your MacBook inside the bag and breeze through the X-ray machine.

How? The Tom Bihn Checkpoint Flyer is a fold-out, “Checkpoint-Friendly” design, approved by the Transportation Security Administration.

The bag has three compartments designed to be folded flat on an X-ray scanner bed. Laid flat, the bag gives the X-ray operator a clear view of the MacBook and anything else inside the bag. There are no pockets or metal components to block the screener’s view. Pretty cool!

Got a Kid With a Gift Card? UCreate Music is the Toy to Buy

By

P1040863_2-2

With four overindulged kids ages nine through 13, it’s hard to find presents to keep them entertained for more than ten minutes.

UCreate Music, made by Mattel, is a battery-powered, music-making system that allows kids to mix their own music. The little plastic box rips samples from your iPod or Mac and was on several hot Holiday toy lists. Perfect for that left-over Christmas gift card, the Kahney kids have been testing it out.

Review: Waterfield’s Muzetto Urban Man Bag Is A Total Chick Magnet

By

post-18695-image-d3fa734cbdaa39ed811fbf5af53729e6-jpg

The San Francisco based company Waterfield presents the Muzetto laptop bag. This “urban man bag” will make the geekiest nerd feel hip. Don’t be surprised when your fashion-forward girlfriend tries to steal it.

Designed as a lightweight laptop tote, this bag is high quality; it’s made from distressed dark brown leather and offered in six accent colors. It’s a pleasant change from the over-used nylon of most laptop bags.

I really like the gold liner which makes items highly visible. On my first use I accidently scraped the bag with my keys and made a horrible mark. But no worries! The well-oiled bag is designed to scratch easily for a distressed look. The marks will blend in time or you can just give it a good rub.

Review: Crumpler’s Considerable Embarrassment Laptop Bag Is Small But Spacious

By

P1030924

Is Crumpler’s oddly-named Considerable Embarrassment messenger/laptop bag an embarrassment? Hardly.

The bag has a quirky name — as do all of Crumpler’s products. I won’t even try to understand what it means. What I do know is that looks are deceiving. Meaning that it can hold a ton of stuff, despite it’s slim profile. It doesn’t look like it should.

Review: Fashionable Loopbags Are Tough Enough For NYC

By

loop_messenger_bag
Ibint's Messenger Loopbag is a good, sturdy laptop tote for NYC.

Because we’re all geeks these days and need bags for our laptops, the market for fashionable computer bags has mercifully grown. Gone are the days when the only laptop bag you could buy was black and rectangular.

A particularly stylish entry onto the fashion laptote market is Ibint, a company that sells a range of good-looking laptop bags called Loopbag. The Loopbags have distinctive zippers that loop around the front and back of the bags — hence the name.

We’ve been testing a pair of Loopbags in New York for the last couple of weeks, and they’ve held up exceptionally well, especially because this summer has been exceptionally wet.

Hit the jump for the rest of the review.
