Apple has posted its two new iPhone XR ads to YouTube to promote the device on preorder day.

“Introducing iPhone XR” and “Spectrum” run for less than a minute each, but do a good job of highlighting the new handset’s brightly-colored finishes and its biggest features.

The iPhone XR certainly isn’t the most exciting handset Apple launched this fall, but thanks to its more affordable price tag and gorgeous color options, it will almost certainly prove to be a big hit among a large number of Apple fans.

And the iPhone XR is unlike the more affordable handsets Apple has offered in the past. Rather than packaging older internals into a new design (like iPhone 5c), it boasts many of the features that make the significantly more expensive iPhone XS and XS Max so special.

“Spectrum” doesn’t really tell us that, serving instead to showcase the many bright and beautiful color options the iPhone XR is available in. There is no voiceover and no text on screen; Apple just wants us to appreciate the handset’s striking new design.

“Introducing iPhone XR” also shows off the color options, but also includes text that explains why the iPhone XR is so good. It points out the improved camera, the ability to capture Portrait mode selfies, the edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display, and Face ID.

It also mentions the A12 Bionic chip — the same chip that powers the iPhone XS and XS Max. Thought the iPhone XR may be lacking some things, like a second rear-facing lens for optical zoom, it’s just a powerful as its pricier counterparts.

Preorder iPhone XR today

iPhone XR preorders kicked off this morning at 12:01 a.m. PT. Some models have already sold out and will no longer be delivered on launch day, so if you’re planning to pick one up, head on over to the Apple Store and claim yours as soon as possible.
