T-Mobile customers can now sign up to the iPhone Upgrade Program online — just in time for Apple’s big 2018 upgrades.

Online enrollment was previously available to those on AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon, while T-Mobile subscribers were forced to visit their local Apple Store. The process will be a little easier for those looking to buy a new iPhone this fall.

Launched in 2015, the iPhone Upgrade Program gives Apple fans the opportunity to get their hands on the latest iPhone every year and spread the cost of the device so that it’s a little more affordable.

When it made its debut, customers could only sign up to the iPhone Upgrade Program in an Apple Store, but in 2016, Apple made it possible to enroll online. But on big carrier was missing from its list.

Not anymore! T-Mobile has joined AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon in the list of carriers that support online enrollment to the Apple Upgrade Program. The carrier was reportedly added earlier this month and highlighted this week on Reddit.

The change comes just in time for Apple’s annual fall event, which is expected to deliver at least three new iPhone models — including a refresh for the iPhone X and a larger iPhone X Plus. We’re also looking forward to new iPad Pros, new Macs, and Apple Watch Series 4.

Last year, Apple gave customers an opportunity to secure pre-approval for the iPhone Upgrade Program so that they could get the iPhone X on launch day along with everyone else. It’s likely it will do the same for this year’s upgrades.

Here’s to hoping we don’t see a repeat of the approval problems some customers faced last year, which caused their loan application to be denied and delayed their preorder.
