Apple is sending a message of unity this Christmas season with a new ad that features an unexpected guest: Frankenstein’s monster.

The heartwarming ad starts with Frankie in his little cabin in the mountains, recording music on his iPhone. Then the misunderstood monster makes his way down to a little village to unleash a surprise none of the locals were expecting.

The ad is a bit reminiscent of a scene with the whos in Whoville from the Dr. Seuss classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas! After the incredibly divisive U.S. presidential campaign, we could all certainly use some more positivity.

Apple Vice President of Marketing Tor Myhren told FastCo that the ad isn’t a response to the election at all.

Instead, it is meant to give people a break from all the ads promoting holiday sales.

“We wanted this to be something that during this time when people are being inundated with these hard-sell messages, can we give people a minute or two of just a really nice piece of entertainment that ties really tightly to something we believe strongly in at Apple,” he said.
