At the top of our favorite iOS apps list this week is Time Fliesa simple but useful application that helps you keep track of how long it’s been since you last completed a chore or task. It’s now even easier to remember when you last called your parents, bought flowers for your wife, or cleaned the house.

Our second must-have app is a quick and powerful to-do app called SpeedTask. It features a simplistic, easy to use user interface, with free ‘cloud’ syncing that allows you to access your tasks from any device, or sync them with iCal on your Mac.

Also featured this week is the redesigned ReBirth, which is now available on the iPad, emulating the classic Roland TB-303 Bass synth and the Roland TR-808 & 909 drum machines. Making music on your iOS device has never been so powerful!

Time Flies($0.99) iPhone – Lifestyle

When you complete a task or chore that you need to remember, simply create a new event within Time Flies and you can quickly check back to see how long it’s been since you last did something. Events are displayed in chronological order, and if you complete the same task again, you can simply update the event and restart the timer. Bookmark important events so that it’s easier to find them in the future, and count down to future events so that you’re prepared for their arrival. Featuring an excellent high-resolution interface and makes tracking your tasks incredibly simple.

SpeedTask($4.99) iPhone – Productivity

SpeedTask is a full-featured task manager that’s fast and simple to use, with over-the-air ‘cloud’ syncing that lets you access and manage your to-do list from any of your devices, or through the free web app. Create new tasks in seconds, tag them in order of importance, share tasks with friends and colleagues, and receive notifications when one of your tasks is due. A quick glance at the SpeedTask app icon will tell you how many tasks are due on a certain day, and if you have too many, it’s easy to reschedule or delete them altogether. If you need a feature that’s missing, SpeedTask’s creators are open to requests, and they promise regular updates and improvements.
