The short list of truly MagSafe-compatible accessories grew a bit on Tuesday, as the Belkin Boost↑Charge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand can now be preordered. This holds up an iPhone 12 for easy viewing, and includes a pad for AirPods cases that support wireless charging.

It makes use of the MagSafe system Apple built into the latest iOS handsets. Magnets are embeded into the back of the iPhone 12 series, as well as the charger. Belkin’s stand uses these to elevate Apple’s latest handset, and let it be used in either landscape or portrait orientation.

And MagSafe does more than that. It also enables charging the new iPhones at 15 watts, twice as fast as standard wireless chargers.

Plus, the Boost↑Charge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand powers up an AirPods Pro or AirPods with Wireless Charging Case in a second pad designed for these earbuds.

Belkin is now taking preorders for its latest MagSafe charger on its website, at a price of $99.99. The company promises “estimated Shipping in Late March.” It will also appear in the official online Apple Store.

This charger was first unveiled at CES 2021.

Don’t overlook other options

MagSafe is new and there’re aren’t many products that use it yet. But there are some options. The Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Stand has most of the functionality of Belkin’s, but it’s not fully MagSafe compatible. That limits charging speed to 7.5W. But it costs just $39.99.

Or anyone who also has an Apple Watch might consider the more elaborate Boost↑Charge Pro MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charger that Belkin launched last autumn.
